PINAPPLE FACIAL MASKS:
BENEFITS OF PINEAPPLE FOR THE SKIN:
Pineapple is one of my favourites fruits, but it is also a
wonderful effective natural ingredient for homemade facial
masks and treatments. Pineapple is rich in vitamin C, fruit
acids, proteinases, or proteolytic enzymes that help to
dissolve dead skin cells and stimulate new skin growth,
giving a clearer complexion. Pineapple also has anti-
microbial and anti-ulcerative properties making it excellent
as a base for acne prone skin. It also lightly bleaches skin
removing age spots and freckles.
CLEANING MASK WITH PINEAPPLE:
*Take a piece of pineapple and mash it.
* Add one teaspoon of honey and a little bit of oats until it
becomes as a thick porridge.
*Apply the mask evenly on the face
*Leave to act for 10-15 min.
*Remove the mask with a damp cloth or cotton wool
**Do not worry if during the procedure you feel a slight
tingling, this removes dead skin cells and refresh the skin.
OILY SKIN:
*If you have oily facial skin rub the face with a piece of
fresh pineapple, twice a day if possible.
Or place pieces of fruit on your face and lie down with them
to relax for about 15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm
water.
PIGMENTATION:
For face whitening and removal of freckles and other
pigmentations.
* Take 4 tablespoons fresh pineapple juice
* 2 Teaspoons pure honey
* 3 Tablespoons natural yogurt
* Mix all together
* Leave the mixture for 10 minutes to sit
* Then apply on the face.
* After 15 minutes rinse with warm water
EXFOLIATING PINEAPPLE MASK:
* 1 tablespoon of pineapple – mashed or blended
* 1 tablespoon of raw honey
* Mix the two ingredients together and apply with a makeup
fan brush liberally to your face and neck.
* Leave on for 5-10 minutes and rinse off with warm water.
* Use a warm washcloth to gently wipe your face.
**Your skin may also be sensitive afterward, moisturise and
be aware of direct sun for the day.
FACIAL CLEANSING OIL:

Great for removing makeup.
* 1 Tablespoon castor oil
* 1 tablespoon of pineapple – mashed or blended
* 1teaspoon avocado oil.
* Rub the oil mixture to dry face
* Apply a warm washcloth over face
*(Exfoliate by rubbing face with washcloth)
* Rinse with warm water
**It may seem counterintuitive to use oil to cleanse your
face but actually using oils (aka: Oil Cleansing Method) can
dissolve the old oils clogged in your pores & replenish your
face’s natural oils. Instead of your face feeling dry after
using soap or a cleansing foam, cleansing oil will leave your
face feeling soft and moisturised.
PINEAPPLE FACIAL PEEL:
Glycolic acid is used in many skin peels, it is one of the
strongest naturally occurring acids in food that can be
applied to the skin. When you combine green papaya with
pineapple to make a pineapple facial peel mask it has good
results. Can be applied to specific areas or to your whole
face.
* 2 tablespoons crushed pineapple
* 2 tablespoons papaya or cantaloupe or pawpaw
* 1 tablespoon mashed banana
* 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, Demerara sugar or molasses
* 1 teaspoon natural yogurt (optional)
* 1 teaspoon pure honey (optional)
* Blend these ingredients together into a puree
* Apply to a clean face
* Leave on for a MAXIMUM of ten minutes as this is a VERY
potent recipe blend and it really works fast.
* Wash off and apply and apply moisturiser.
* For acne skin add 1 teaspoon of extra virgin coconut oil,
lemon juice, aloe vera and/or a few drops of tea tree or
lavender oil.
* For very dry skin add a teaspoon of olive oil, Almond oil.
**If you have sensitive skin: Patch test first for 2 minutes to
check for irritation.
PINEAPPLE PEEL BODY SCRUB:
Wonderful for getting rid of old dry skin and preparing the
skin for tanning.
* ¼ of Fresh Pineapple, cut into 3 to 4 inch Wide Strips
* Rock Sugar (hard sugar or coffee granules)
* Sprinkle the inside of the pineapple with sugar or coffee
* To use, gently scrub your skin with the inside of the
pineapple peel just like you’d use a washcloth. It will feed
your skin with vitamins and gently exfoliate
* Rinse well after treatment & your body will smell pineapple
fresh
SKIN SOFTENING MASK:
* 2 Tablespoons pure honey
* 1 tablespoon of rose water
* Tablespoon mashed pineapple
* Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and
* Apply it on your skin for 10-15 minutes.
* Wipe off with a warm wash cloth for soft, bright skin
ROUGH SKIN:
Rubbing a slice of pineapple on dry or rough skin like knees,
elbows and heels will help soften the tougher areas of skin.
For extra exfoliation dip it into raws sugar.
** (But don’t overdo it or your skin will become too tender.)
RELAXING SMOOTHING MASK:
* Take two pieces pineapple, make them as mash
* Add 3-4 drops of lavender oil
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* Mix everything and apply on the face for 15 min
* Rinse with warm water
This mask can be used for hands and feet as well
PINEAPPLE FACE WASH:
* Mashed pineapple
* 4 tablespoons coconut oil
* ½ tablespoon coconut flakes
* Blend the pineapple into a fine pulp with the coconut oil
* Apply to the face and leave it on for 3 minutes
* Rinse well with warm water
**some people can be allergic to coconut oil. I recommend
trying it on your hand first before applying it to your face.
Alternatively you can substitute coconut oil for olive oil!
PINEAPPLE AHA MASK:
This mask is beneficial for age spots and blemishes.
* ¼ cup chopped fresh pineapple
* 1 tablespoon coconut milk
* Place ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend
until smooth.
* Apply evenly over your face, (neck and chest )
* Leave on for 10-15 minutes
* rinse with warm water
* Pat your skin dry with a soft towel
* Moisturise
**Don’t overdo it with this mask – once a week is enough.
Since you are removing a layer of dead skin cells you might
be extra sensitive to the sun, so be sure to protect your skin
and be cautious of direct sunlight.
